HEALTH DATA NERD
100% health data nerd
Hi thanks for visiting my site.
I'm Jess, a researcher at the University of Oxford where I am both a member of staff at the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science and a PhD (DPhil in Oxford speak) candidate at the Oxford Internet Institute.
In both my work at the Bennett Institute, and as part of my PhD, I write, think & talk about how the healthcare system (the NHS in England) can better capitalise on the opportunities presented by secondary uses of health data in a way that is technically feasible, socially acceptable, ethically justifiable, and legally compliant. This sometimes involves talking about AI, but most of the time, much less whizzy things.
On this site, you can read my published research, read my blog, or find links to talks/lectures I have given. If that's not enough then you can follow me on Twitter or get in touch!
